For many rural communities in Uganda, the lack of proper roads means more than just inconvenience—it means isolation from schools, clinics, and economic opportunities. The John M. Kamya Foundation's Community Road Works Project is tackling this challenge head-on by constructing and rehabilitating roads that connect people to essential services.
Our ongoing efforts in 2025 include building all-weather roads in hard-to-reach areas that often become impassable during rainy seasons. By working closely with local government bodies, engineers, and volunteers, we are creating infrastructure that meets the real needs of the communities we serve—roads that allow farmers to sell their crops, children to attend school safely, and ambulances to reach remote homes.
These roads are also fostering greater community interaction and cohesion. Markets are now more accessible, health clinics report more patient visits, and school attendance is on the rise thanks to safer travel routes. The ripple effects of infrastructure development are transforming lives in unexpected and powerful ways.
We invite you to support this initiative—whether by funding construction materials, sponsoring maintenance crews, or simply spreading the word. Together, we can pave the way for a better, more connected future.
